Wolfe at Wolfetone Electronics has been working on a cover for a P90 pickup, any P90 pickup that will work with a humbucking guitar with no modifications and he sent us a prototype. That’s right, now your LP Standards can have P90’s if you love that sound as much as we do. Still a 3D printed prototype, D & P take it for a spin along with Wolfetone Mean and Meaner P90s and compare them to other pickups and an original ’54 LP which is always fun. Let’s get going!

Thanks again for the great sounding and HONEST pickup demos. I like that you don’t slag on anyone as, in your infinite wisdom, the golden tone we all seek may need different tools to get there.
In the future can you please put up DC readings for the vintage pickups too? Finding what is vintage correct has been an exersize in futility for us P-90 fans. Any data on this matter is always appreciated.
